畳を納品する前の、ちょっとした大切なひと手間
A small but important step before tatami delivery

畳を新調したり、表替えをするとき、
新しい畳表には「染土（せんど）」がついています。
When we make new tatami or replace the surface the tatami mat comes with sendo (natural clay powder).

これは畳の青さを保つために、
畳農家さんが仕上げに施しているもの☺️
It’s applied by tatami farmers to keep the fresh green color

ただ、この染土が残ったままだと
白っぽく見えたり、服に粉がついたりすることも
If left on the tatami can look dusty and may stain clothes or socks.

そこで当店では↓
So here’s what we do

✨ 畳専用の掃除機で、染土をしっかり吸い取り
We carefully remove the clay using a tatami-only vacuum

✨ そのあと濡れ雑巾で何度も拭いて
Then wipe it several times with a damp cloth

✨ 最後は空拭きで仕上げます
Finish with a dry wipe for a clean touch

こうして、
すぐに気持ちよく使える畳にしてからお届けしています

This way the tatami is ready to use right away
